Ana Catarina Figueira
Veterinary Doctor Director
Ana Catarina Figueira completed a degree in Veterinary Medicine from the Abel Salazar Institute of Biomedical Sciences in 2001 from the University of Porto. She then did a Master's in Medicine and Molecular Oncology, studying at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Porto in 2009. She did her PhD in Veterinary Sciences at the Abel Salazar Institute of Biomedical Sciences, at the University of Porto.She’s also a lecturer on Companion Animal Clinics I and II in Vasco da Gama University, in Coimbra.
She has been working at Onevet University of Coimbra Veterinary Hospital since 2015, and become the Clinical Director in 2019.
Her main areas of interest include Oncology, Internal Medicine and Paediatrics.
In her free time, she enjoys travelling and spending time with friends and family.
Susana Faim
Veterinary Doctor
Susana Faim completed her degree in Veterinary Medicine from the University of Trás-os-Montes e Alto Douro (UTAD) in 2000.She did curricular internships at the Dr Francisco Corrêa Cardoso Veterinary Clinic and at the Porto Veterinary Hospital.
She studied for her Postgraduate degree at Lusophone University in Small Animal and Exotic Clinic.
She’s a Master’s student at the Faculty of Medicine from the University of Porto, specialising in public health.
Her main areas of interest include surgery and internal medicine.
She is a founding member of the Baixo Vouga Veterinary Group and has worked there since 2001.
Hugo Vilhena
Veterinary Doctor
Hugo Vilhena completed his degree in Veterinary Medicine from the University of Trás-os-Montes e Alto Douro (UTAD), in 2003. He did his Postgraduate degree in Veterinary Ophthalmology at the Autonomous University of Barcelona in 2006, and then a Master's degree in Veterinary Medicine from the University of Trás-os-Montes e Alto Douro (UTAD), in 2011. He also has a PhD in Veterinary Sciences from the University of Trás-os-Montes e Alto Douro (UTAD), which he finished in 2020.At the moment, he is completing a Master’s degree in Oncology at ICBAS-University of Porto/IPO Porto.
He is a lecturer in Physiology, Emergencies and Intensive Care and Companion Animal Clinics at Vasco da Gama University (EUVG).
He is the Vice-President of the Regional Council of the Central Region of the Portuguese Veterinary Association.
His main areas of interest include internal medicine, oncology and ophthalmology.
He has been working alongside Onevet Baixo Vouga Veterinary Hospital since 2004 and with Onevet University of Coimbra Veterinary Hospital since it was founded.
Andreia Freire
Veterinary Doctor
Andreia Freire did her integrated Master's degree in Veterinary Medicine at Vasco da Gama University (EUVG), in 2008.She then did curricular internships at Dr Rui Arrabaça Martins Clinic, Alcobaça Veterinary Clinic and Conimbricense Veterinary Clinic.
After this, she did her Postgraduate degree in Medicine of Companion Animals and Exotic Animals at Lusophone University in 2010 and 2011.
She’s done several training courses in Dermatology and Endocrinology, and her main areas of interest are Dermatology, Endocrinology, Reproduction, Oncology and Feline Medicine.
As for hobbies, she highlights her passion for photography and travelling with her family.
Tiago Neves
Veterinary Doctor
Tiago Neves graduated in Veterinary Medicine in 2016 from Vasco da Gama University, and that same year he started his job at HVUC.His areas of interest are Imaging and Emergency Medicine, so he has invested heavily in training in these areas from the beginning.
In 2020, he began his career as an assistant lecturer at Vasco da Gama University in the Clinical Imaging curricular unit.
In his free time, he enjoys the outdoors, travelling and listening to music.
Rita Henriques
Veterinary Doctor
Rita Henriques graduated in Veterinary Medicine in 2017 from Vasco da Gama University. She started working at HVUC in January 2020.Her areas of interest are Soft Tissue Surgery, Emergency Medicine and Internal Medicine. From the beginning, she has invested in training in these areas. Currently, she is studying a postgraduate course in Anaesthesia and Soft Tissue Surgery at the UAB.
In her free time, Rita enjoys travelling and playing sports.

Margarida Almeida
Veterinary Doctor
Margarida Almeida has a degree from the Vasco de Gama University, finishing in 2012. She has interned in several places, including the Montenegro Veterinary Hospital in Porto and Ars Hospital in Barcelona.She has been working at Onevet University of Coimbra Veterinary Hospital since 2018.
Her main areas of interest are internal medicine, feline medicine, dentistry, and she also enjoys ultrasound.
In her free time, she loves going out for dinner and outdoor activities!
Micael Morado
Veterinary Doctor
Micael has a degree from the Vasco da Gama University School in 2021.He trained at Onevet Hospital Veterinário Porto and Onevet Hospital Veterinário Baixo Vouga, having carried out a curricular internship at Onevet Hospital Veterinário Universitário Coimbra and since that date he has joined the clinical staff. His main areas of interest are neurology, anesthesiology and surgery.
Maria Veiga
Veterinary Doctor
Maria Veiga has worked at a companion animal clinical practise since 2018.She graduated with an Integrated Master’s degree in Veterinary Medicine from the Abel Salazar Institute of Biomedical Sciences in 2018, and at the end of the course, he did a curricular internship in companion animals at the Ars Veterinary Hospital, Barcelona. Her main areas of interest are internal medicine and imaging.
She likes to go for walks in nature in her free time, accompanied by her dog Bob, and she never turns down a good afternoon spent in the sun in the company of her friends.
Suzi Neves
Veterinary Doctor
Suzi Neves, part of the team of the Onevet University of Coimbra Veterinary Hospital group since August 2021 as a Veterinary Doctor.Integrated Master’s Degree in Veterinary Medicine completed in 2021 at the Vasco da Gama University School.
Areas of interest: internal medicine, imaging and animal behavior.
In her free time, she likes to do physical exercise, long walks in nature and video games.
Pedro Olivério
Veterinary Doctor
Pedro Olivério finished his degree in Veterinary Medicine from the University of Trás-os-Montes e Alto Douro (UTAD), in 1999. He's a PhD student in Veterinary Sciences at the University of Porto (ICBAS-UP).He also has a Postgraduate degree in Small Animal Surgery from Improve Ibérica and has done several courses in anaesthesia and veterinary surgery.
He is a speaker and trainer in courses of veterinary anaesthesia at UAB and Improve Ibérica, and a lecturer in Anaesthesiology and Surgical Pathology at the Vasco de Gama University in Coimbra.
His main areas of interest include general anaesthesia, loco-regional anaesthesia, intensive care, neurology/neurosurgery, soft tissue surgery, orthopaedics/traumatology, arthroscopy and arthroscopic surgery.
When he’s not working, he enjoys diving, mountain biking and playing electric guitar.

Rosália Vaz finished her veterinary nursing course at the Castelo Branco School of Agriculture in 2011. Since then, has done a professional internship at the Veterinary Clinic Vetcondeixa and has attended training courses in the area whenever she can.In 2017, she joined the Onevet University of Coimbra Veterinary Hospital team working as a nurse. In her clinical practice, her passions include internal medicine and emergencies.
In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, cooking and doing handicrafts.
Magda Figueiredo
Veterinary Nurse
Magda Figueiredo did her curricular internship at Onevet Porto Veterinary Hospital. In 2020, she finished her degree in veterinary nursing from the Bragança School of Agriculture. She then started working at Onevet University of Coimbra Veterinary Hospital in January 2021.Her main areas of interest are internal medicine, anaesthesia and emergency.
In her free time, she likes to walk outdoors, spend time with her family and friends and do physical exercise.
Jéssica Monteiro

Jéssica Monteiro has been at HVUC since 2018. She finished her degree in Veterinary Nursing from the Viseu School of Agriculture in 2019. She also previously studied to be a Veterinary Assistant, graduating from the Ponte de Lima School of Agriculture in 2015.She is the nurse in charge of physiotherapy at HVUC. In addition, her areas of interest are internal medicine, emergency, intensive care and feline medicine. She adores cats.
In her free time, she likes to go on long walks, take care of her plants and spend time with her kittens.

Filipa Augusto has been working at Onevet University of Coimbra Veterinary Hospital since February 2018 as a receptionist and administrative assistant.She then trained as a commercial assistant and veterinary assistant.
Her areas of interest are animal welfare, customer service, administrative functions and scheduling organisation.
In her spare time, she likes to be out and about in nature, do exercise, meditation, yoga, dancing, reading, and going to the cinema.
Ana Filipa Pires

Ana Filipa Pires has been at HVUC since 2017, working as a receptionist and administrative assistant. She finished her veterinary assistant course in 2007, and for ten years, she worked in a veterinary clinic.She has done training in veterinary management and marketing, advice and prevention of diseases in companion animals and participated in veterinary nutrition workshops.
In her spare time, she enjoys family outings, spending time with friends, going to the swimming pool and reading.

Pedro Esteves completed his degree in Veterinary Nursing from the Castelo Polytechnic Institute - Castelo Branco School of Agriculture in 2014.He then did a curricular internship at Onevet Aveiro Veterinary Clinic. He’s also done several training courses in Anaesthesia, Analgesia, Emergencies and Intensive Care.
He worked at Onevet Baixo Vouga Veterinary Hospital from 2014 to 2016, before starting to work at Onevet University of Coimbra Veterinary Hospital, starting in 2016.
His main areas of interest are Anaesthesia, Surgery and Emergency/Intensive Care.
In his spare time, he enjoys riding his motorbike and DIY.
Cátia Coutinho
Veterinary Nurse
Cátia Coutinho has a degree in Veterinary Nursing from the Castelo Polytechnic Institute - Castelo Branco School of Agriculture, which she finished in 2014. She then did a curricular internship at Onevet Aveiro Veterinary Clinic and after that, joined the HVUC team in 2014.She is a Veterinary Nurse.
Her main areas of interest are emergencies and intensive care, clinical analysis, exotic species and feline medicine.
In her spare time, she likes to go for walks and being around nature.
