Onevet Clínica Veterinária Leçavet has been developing its clinical capabilities in recent years, investing in staff training and equipment, with the primary objective of ensuring the health and well-being of animals and their families. We have a team of four veterinary surgeons, two assistants and one nurse.

Rachel Rollo Marques
Clinical Director / Veterinary Doctor
Pre-Bologna degree in Veterinary Medicine from the Abel Salazar Institute of Biomedical Sciences (ICBAS) at the University of Porto in 2002.Completed a curricular internship at the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB) in Barcelona, Spain, and at the São Paulo State University (UNESP) – Botucatu, in São Paulo, Brazil. She is the clinical director of Onevet Clínica Veterinária Leçavet, with her main areas of interest being Soft Tissue Surgery, Oncology, Anaesthesia and Geriatrics.
She has completed several training courses in her areas of interest, including postgraduate training in Small Animal Surgery at Improve International in 2017/2018, the course “Update in Veterinary Oncology – Onco Pop-up” by the Department of Veterinary Public Health (ISPUP) in 2019, and also participated in the Dechra Anaesthesia Course with Dr Miguel Ángel Cabezas, also in 2019.
Rita Maruco Oliveira

Integrated Master's Degree in Veterinary Medicine from the Abel Salazar Institute of Biomedical Sciences (ICBAS) at the University of Porto in 2017.She completed a curricular internship at Onevet Veterinary Hospital in Porto in 2016/2017 and at The Neighbourhood Veterinary Centre in London in 2017. She has been working with the Leçavet group since 2017 and is currently the clinical director of Onevet Veterinary Clinic in Freixieiro. Her main areas of interest are Cardiology and Internal Medicine, having participated in several training courses and conferences in her areas of preference, namely the postgraduate training in Small Animal Cardiology at Improve International in 2020/2021 and the Course in Echocardiography in Dogs and Cats at ECOS Vet in 2021/2022. In 2025, she obtained the General Practitioner Certificate in Small Animal Cardiology from the International School of Veterinary Postgraduate Studies (ISVPS).

Veterinary Technical Assistant Course at Instituto Monitor, completed in 2003. Joined the Leçavet team in 2012, with main areas of interest being hospitalisation support, nutritional advice and operating theatre support.Participated in several conferences at the Montenegro Veterinary Hospital, as well as online training courses accredited by AVEPA – Asociación Veterinarios Españoles Especialistas Pequeños Animales (Advice and disease prevention; Zoonoses in exotic animals and their care, and the role of the ATV in companion animal ophthalmology).
In her free time, she loves to pamper her best friend, her cat Roo.
