Veterinary Doctors

Gil Figueira

Clinical Director / Veterinary Doctor

A veterinary surgeon who graduated from ICBAS - University of Porto in 2011, he has a career marked by experience in emergency medicine and intensive care.

With training at university hospitals in Tennessee (USA) and Cambridge (United Kingdom), he specialised in surgery – soft tissues and stomatology, with advanced training in Soft Tissue Surgery from the Autonomous University of Barcelona. He has been part of the clinical team since 2013 and pursues clinical interests in surgery and anaesthesia.

Inês Lino

Veterinary Doctor

Veterinary Doctor graduated from the Abel Salazar Institute of Biomedical Sciences (ICBAS), University of Porto, in 2018. She joined the Onevet group in 2023.

Throughout her career, she has consistently invested in postgraduate training, notably completing a postgraduate degree in Small Animal Internal Medicine (GPCert Small Animal Medicine) in 2022 and a postgraduate degree in Small Animal Soft Tissue Surgery from ESVPS in 2024.
He has a special interest in the areas of surgery and internal medicine.

Virgínia Ferreira

Veterinary Doctor

Veterinary Doctor, with a degree in Veterinary Nursing completed in 2013 and an Integrated Master's Degree in Veterinary Medicine completed in 2023.

She joined the Onevet group’s clinical team in December 2024.
She has a special interest in dermatology and abdominal ultrasound, having completed intensive training in abdominal ultrasound with Improve International in June 2024.

Veterinary Nurse & Veterinary Assistant

Ana Rita Lopes

Veterinary Nurse

Veterinary Nurse, with a degree in Veterinary Nursing completed in 2014.

She completed an internship at the University of Bari, where she gained experience with wild and companion animals, developing skills in different areas of clinical practice.
She joined the team in 2016 and is currently responsible for the operating theatre and the hospitalisation area, ensuring high standards of organisation, monitoring and animal welfare.

Gizela Azevedo

Veterinary Assistant

Veterinary Assistant with professional experience since 2006, belonging to the original clinical staff.

Performs duties such as organising the schedule, preparing consultation rooms and assisting the veterinary surgeon with examinations, procedures and surgeries. Manages stock and orders, provides basic administrative support and advises guardians under medical supervision, contributing to efficient clinical operations and the provision of quality care, with a focus on animal welfare.

Regina Santos

Veterinary Assistant

Veterinary Assistant, with initial technical training in window dressing, completed in 2010.

She began her career in animal health in 2022, completing a course in Domestic Animal Veterinary Assistance, complemented by training in first aid for companion animals in 2023.
In 2025, she completed the Exotic Animal Veterinary Assistant and Zoo Keeper course. She shows particular curiosity about animal behaviour and species preservation.

Sandra Rosália

Veterinary Assistant

Veterinary Assistant, with initial training in Gerontology at Santa Maria Hospital.

She fulfilled her long-standing vocation in the animal field, combining work and study, through training as a Veterinary Assistant and Groomer.
She has practical experience gained through several years of volunteering in animal welfare, where she developed skills in animal handling, care and welfare. She joined the team in July 2023, performing duties in the clinical support and hotel areas.
