HVUP was built from the ground up with a strong focus on the well-being of the animals that visit us, as well as on meeting all the demands involved in providing excellent veterinary healthcare. Covering more than 4,000 m², HVUP features a waiting area with physical separation for dogs, cats, and exotic animals. This separation is maintained throughout all consultation rooms and hospitalisation areas. The hospital includes 6 consultation rooms and 7 dedicated hospitalisation areas: hospitalisation for cats, for small and medium-sized dogs, for large dogs (with spacious areas for their comfort), for exotic animals, and exclusive isolation areas for animals with infectious diseases, separated by species – dogs, cats, and exotic animals.
We also offer an intensive care unit, an oncology room, and a euthanasia room (designed to provide privacy and comfort during this difficult moment), as well as an in-house laboratory capable of performing haematology, biochemistry, endocrinology, and coagulation tests. The surgical wing is spacious and includes 3 operating theatres, one of which is dedicated exclusively to orthopaedic and neurosurgery. Completing our state-of-the-art facilities, the hospital has an advanced imaging service with ultrasound, echocardiography, endoscopy, fluoroscopy, digital X-ray, CT scan, and MRI.
