Clinical Director / Veterinary Doctor
Graduated in Veterinary Medicine in 2001 from UTAD, with an internship at the University of Tennessee (USA), she completed two courses in veterinary cardiology and echocardiography at the Universities of Lugo and Complutense in Madrid.Her special areas of interest are cardiology, internal medicine, and soft tissue surgery.
She has lived in Vila Real since she was a child, the city where she studied and formed bonds. She embraced the HVTM project from its inception in 2002. She loves to travel and in her free time enjoys spending time with her family, her dogs, and her friends!
Paulo Pimenta
Veterinary Doctor
Graduated in Veterinary Medicine in 1998 from the University of Trás-os-Montes and Alto Douro (UTAD). Master's degree in Veterinary Medicine in 2011 from UTAD. Postgraduate degree in Veterinary Ophthalmology in Barcelona at the Autonomous University of Barcelona in 2002.He is responsible for the ophthalmology department at Onevet Hospital Veterinário Trás-os-Montes. He has published several articles and papers in national and international journals.
Paulo believes that the practice of veterinary medicine should be governed by the highest technical, ethical and deontological standards.
He currently serves as chief operating officer of the Onevet Group. In his free time, Paulo enjoys outdoor sports and spending time with his family and children.
Pedro Barbosa

Joana Monteiro
Veterinary Doctor
Integrated Master's Degree in Veterinary Medicine from the University of Trás-os-Montes and Alto Douro in 2015.Six-month internship at Onevet Hospital Veterinário Trás-os-Montes (2014), subsequently joining the hospital’s medical team. Master’s thesis in the field of surgery – Surgical Approach to Intestinal Obstruction.
Continuing education in imaging, in the field of ultrasound, which is one of her main areas of interest. She is also currently one of the hospital’s ultrasound technicians.
In addition to imaging, her areas of interest include internal medicine and general hospitalisation.
She has a special fondness for French Bulldogs, which is one of her main hobbies: taking care of her own.

Renato Martins

Integrated Master's Degree from the University of Trás-os-Montes and Alto Douro in 2018.He completed a curricular internship at the Histology and Pathological Anatomy Laboratory at UTAD. His master’s thesis focused on the immunohistochemical expression of TGF-B receptors in mammary neoplasms in dogs.
In his spare time, he enjoys music and photography.

Fábio Rebelo
Veterinary Doctor
Integrated Master's Degree in Veterinary Medicine from the University of Trás-os-Montes and Alto Douro (UTAD) in 2020.He completed a four-month internship at the Trás-os-Montes Veterinary Hospital (2018) in Vila Real and a four-month internship at the Centre Hospitalier Vétérinaire Fegis (2019) in Paris, with a special focus on orthopaedic surgery for companion animals.
Master’s thesis in the field of companion animal surgery, in which she developed a retrospective study of the incidence of post-surgical complications in the resolution of patellar luxation in small dogs.
He completed a professional internship at the Onevet Veterinary Hospital in Trás-os-Montes in 2020 and currently works as a veterinarian at the same veterinary medical centre.

Graduated in Veterinary Medicine in 2016 from the University of Leon. Master's degree in Veterinary Medicine from the University of Trás-os-Montes and Alto Douro (UTAD) in 2019.Among her areas of interest are physiotherapy and rehabilitation. She is currently pursuing a postgraduate degree in this field, with graduation accredited by ISVPS expected in 2022.
She is also passionate about medicine and feline ethology, and is the proud guardian of three cats: Serafin, El Kaki and Vazie.
A nature lover with a particular fondness for oenology, she dreams of living on a farm in the Douro Wine Region.

Rosa Lopes
Veterinary Nurse
Graduated in Veterinary Nursing from the Polytechnic Institute of Viseu - Higher School of Agriculture, in 2019.She completed short internships at clinics and hospitals in Viseu in 2018, finishing her six-month curricular internship at Onevet Hospital Veterinário Trás-os-Montes in 2019, where she has been working as a veterinary nurse since December of that year.
Her main areas of interest are Dermatology, Surgery, General Hospitalisation, Emergencies and Intensive Care.
In her free time, she loves to pamper her best friend, her cat Roo.

Kelly Paulos completed her Degree in Veterinary Nursing in 2015 from Bragança School of Agriculture.She then did a curricular internship at Dr Nuno Morais Veterinary Centre and at the HVBV (Onevet Baixo Vouga Veterinary Hospital).
Paulos has been a member of the HVTM team since March 2021.
Her main areas of interest are admission, grooming, nutrition, neonatology and paediatrics.
In her free time, she enjoys going for walks, doing physical exercise, and hanging out with her friends and family.

Veterinary Assistant
Bachelor's degree in Communication Sciences from the University of Trás-os-Montes and Alto Douro in 2012. Master's degree in Public Relations and Advertising in 2015 from the same university.Professional internship at Onevet Veterinary Hospital Trás-os-Montes, joining the team in July 2021. She performs receptionist, hospital and financial management duties, as well as purchasing and stock management. In her free time, she enjoys nature and spending time with friends.
