Our main concern is the well-being of our patients. Our team is made up of 3 veterinary surgeons and 3 assistants with extensive experience in the various areas of pet medicine. We are part of a group of clinics and hospitals with internal sharing of clinical history and medical knowledge with the various specialists in the group. Our commitment is to offer our patients a caring and professional service, with the aim of providing the best treatment for all our patients.

Carla Martins
Veterinary Doctor Director
Carla Martins has a degree in Veterinary Medicine from the University of Trás-os-Montes e Alto Douro in 1994.She did her internship in small animal clinics at the Lima Veterinary Clinic and is currently working at the Porto Veterinary Hospital and Double R. Veterinary Center, California, USA. She trained in small animal surgery and anaesthesia under the guidance of Prof. Dr Felix Garcia. She then attended the Internal Medicine and Emergency Care course organised by the European School for Advanced Veterinary Studies. Since then, she has been interested in continuous training and has attended several training courses and internships in small animal medicine. She is the founder of Onevet Canidelo Veterinary Clinic, which opened in 2002 and is currently the Clinical Director. She enjoys the daily challenge of small animal general and surgical practice.
Her particular areas of interest are dentistry, geriatrics and general surgery.
In her spare time, she enjoys playing sports, especially tennis and volleyball, and enjoys the company of family and friends.
Beatriz Coelho
Veterinary Doctor
Beatriz Coelho completed her Master's degree in Veterinary Medicine at the Abel Salazar Institute of Biomedical Sciences at the University of Porto in 2021.She did a curricular internship in the Vila do Conde Veterinary Hospital and extra-curricular internships in several veterinary clinics. She regularly attends training courses, seminars and congresses in the field of small animal medicine. She’s been a member of the team at Onevet Canidelo Veterinary Clinic since April 2021.
Her main areas of interest are dermatology and gastroenterology.
In her free time, she likes to travel, discover new cuisines and she enjoys watching films in the company of her cats, Pablo and Emma.
Rita Melo
Veterinary Doctor
She has been a veterinary doctor since 2020, with an integrated master's degree from the Abel Salazar Biomedical Sciences Institute, and has been a member of the Canidelo veterinary clinic team since October 2023.Her main areas of interest are internal medicine, oncology and intensive care/urgencies, areas where she has attended training courses and seminars. She is currently doing a post-graduate course in Emergency and Intensive Care and loves travelling and going to concerts.

Andreia Lemos
Veterinary Assistant
She attended the petshop operator course specialising in shearing and grooming, completed in 2023, with a practical component. Since 2023, she has been part of the team at Onevet Veterinary Clinic in Canidelo, where she works as a veterinary assistant.She has trained in wound dressings and management and veterinary first aid. Her main areas of collaboration are animal care, animal behaviour and assisting in surgery. In her spare time she enjoys playing video games, swimming and spending time with her pets.
Andreia Almeida
Veterinary Assistant
Andreia has been a veterinary assistant since 2016 and has been part of the team at Onevet Clínica Veterinária de Canidelo since January 2024.She enjoys helping with consultations, surgeries, preparing material for surgeries and customer service as a receptionist. In her spare time she enjoys looking after and pampering the various pets she lives with.
Jéssica Meireles
Veterinary Assistant
Jéssica has been a veterinary assistant since 2018 and has been part of the Onevet Clínica Veterinária de Canidelo team since April 2024.She has completed various training courses in the field of companion animals, including the Artero Professional Canine Aesthetics Course and the SA Formação physiotherapy and animal rehabilitation course. Her main areas of collaboration are reception and assisting in the care and treatment of animals. In her spare time, she enjoys travelling and walking her dogs.
