Veterinary Doctors

Carla Martins

Veterinary Doctor Director

Carla Martins has a degree in Veterinary Medicine from the University of Trás-os-Montes e Alto Douro in 1994.
She did her internship in small animal clinics at the Lima Veterinary Clinic and is currently working at the Porto Veterinary Hospital and Double R. Veterinary Center, California, USA. She trained in small animal surgery and anaesthesia under the guidance of Prof. Dr Felix Garcia. She then attended the Internal Medicine and Emergency Care course organised by the European School for Advanced Veterinary Studies. Since then, she has been interested in continuous training and has attended several training courses and internships in small animal medicine. She is the founder of Onevet Canidelo Veterinary Clinic, which opened in 2002 and is currently the Clinical Director. She enjoys the daily challenge of small animal general and surgical practice.
Her particular areas of interest are dentistry, geriatrics and general surgery.
In her spare time, she enjoys playing sports, especially tennis and volleyball, and enjoys the company of family and friends.

Ana Basto

Veterinary Doctor

Ana Basto completed her Integrated Master's degree in Veterinary Medicine from the University of Trás-os-Montes e Alto Douro in 2018.
She then did a curricular internship at the Trás-os-Montes e Alto Douro Veterinary Hospital and at the Trofa Veterinary Hospital. She regularly attends various seminars and congresses in the area of companion animals. She’s a member of the team at Onevet Canidelo Veterinary Clinic since April 2018.
Her main areas of interest are internal medicine, ultrasound and reproduction.
In her spare time, she enjoys watching tv shows and films, travelling and maintaining an active lifestyle.

Beatriz Coelho

Veterinary Doctor

Beatriz Coelho completed her Master's degree in Veterinary Medicine at the Abel Salazar Institute of Biomedical Sciences at the University of Porto in 2021.
She did a curricular internship in the Vila do Conde Veterinary Hospital and extra-curricular internships in several veterinary clinics. She regularly attends training courses, seminars and congresses in the field of small animal medicine. She’s been a member of the team at Onevet Canidelo Veterinary Clinic since April 2021.
Her main areas of interest are dermatology and gastroenterology.
In her free time, she likes to travel, discover new cuisines and she enjoys watching films in the company of her cats, Pablo and Emma.

Veterinary Nurse & Veterinary Assistant

Felicia Cardoso

Veterinary Assistant

In 2004, Felicia Cardoso joined the team at Onevet Porto Veterinary Hospital as an assistant, receptionist and head of the Pet Boutique.
She has attended various training courses at HVPO Continuous Training Centre that include Pet Shop Training, First Aid for Animals, Receptionist Training and Geriatric Care in Animals.
Since 2015, she has worked as a veterinary assistant at Onevet Canidelo Veterinary Clinic.
In her spare time she enjoys reading books and walking on the beach.

Joana Apostolo

Veterinary Assistant

Joana Apostolo attended the Veterinary Care Technical Course at the Vasco da Gama University, which she completed in 2013. She then did an internship at Onevet Porto Veterinary Hospital.
Since 2015, she has been a member of the Onevet Canidelo Veterinary Clinic team, where she works as a veterinary care technician.
Joana has attended several seminars and congresses in the area of Veterinary Nursing.
Her main areas of interest are animal nutrition and internal medicine.
In her spare time, she loves family outings with her dog called Lost, and being in nature.
