Pedro Azadinho
Clinical Director / Veterinary Doctor
A Veterinary Surgeon and Clinical Director, he graduated in Veterinary Medicine from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at the Technical University of Lisbon in 2002.Throughout his career, he has continually invested in advanced training, including a Master’s in Orthopaedics from the European School of Advanced Veterinary Studies (ESAVS), started in 2020. He has also completed several specialised courses, such as the Orthopaedics, SOP and RidgeStop Course at Orthomed (UK, 2018), the Complete External Fixation Course at IMEX (USA, 2015), the TTA Course at Kyon (UK, 2011), and multiple Veterinary Orthopaedics and Neurosurgery programmes, including those at Improve Ibérica (2010) and the Training Centre of Cáceres (2009).
He additionally holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Internal Medicine from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at Universidade Lusófona (2009), as well as complementary training in Ultrasonography (ESAVS, 2006) and Veterinary Emergency Medicine (ESAVS, 2004).
Founder of Vet R’in Área, he is passionately dedicated to orthopaedic surgery and intensive care in emergency situations, and is also responsible for the imaging department, with a particular focus on abdominal ultrasound.
His mission is to uphold a dignified veterinary practice, rooted in teamwork and in deep respect for the life and health of companion animals.
Nuno Pereira
Veterinary Doctor
A Veterinary Surgeon, he graduated in Veterinary Medicine from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at the Technical University of Lisbon in 2002. In 2003, he served as a teaching assistant for the practical classes of Parasitology and Parasitic Diseases at the same institution.He completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Small Animal Internal Medicine with Improve Ibérica in 2011. He joined the Vet R’in Área team in 2015, bringing with him over ten years of experience in small animal clinical practice.
His main area of interest is parasitology, having contributed to several publications, posters, and conference proceedings in this field.
Sandra Carvalho
Veterinary Doctor
A Veterinary Surgeon with an Integrated Master’s Degree in Veterinary Medicine from the University of Évora, completed in 2009. In 2020, he undertook an Ultrasonography Course with Improve International.He completed his curricular internship at Vet R’in Área and later joined the team.
His passion lies in preventive medicine and internal medicine.

A Veterinary Nurse, she graduated in Veterinary Nursing from the Escola Superior Agrária de Elvas in 2009. Her passion for animals and their care inspired her to pursue this profession.Her strong commitment to doing things well motivated her to follow a career in Veterinary Nursing. She completed both her curricular and professional internships at Vet R’in Área, after which she was invited to join the team.
