Pedro Moreira
Veterinary Doctor Director
Pedro Moreira graduated from UTAD in 2003. He then did an internship at the Veterinary Hospital Dr. Luis Montenegro and Mourisca Veterinary Clinic. He is responsible for the Dermatology department at our hospital.His areas of interest are internal medicine, dermatology and feline medicine. In his spare time, he enjoys growing his own blueberries and enjoys CrossFit training.
Carla Marrinhas
Veterinary Doctor
Carla Marrinhas completed her degree from the Abel Salazar Institute of Biomedical Sciences, University of Porto, in 2004. She then did an internship at Ars Veterinary Hospital in Barcelona in 2003.She attended modules I, II and III of Dermatology at the European School for Advanced Veterinary Studies in Vienna, Austria, from 2008 to 2010.
Since 2012, she’s done several training courses in clinical pathology, mainly in cytology and haematology (namely at ICBAS, Porto, and at the University of Milan, Italy).
She then did an integrated Master’s degree in Veterinary Medicine in 2015 at ICBAS.
Since 2016, she’s been a PhD student in Veterinary Sciences at ICBAS, University of Porto, Porto.
She’s an author and co-author of several articles published in scientific journals.
Carla has been a collaborator of Onevet Baixo Vouga Veterinary Hospital since 2013. In addition, her areas of interest are clinical pathology (cytology and haematology) and dermatology.
She has held the position of Deputy Clinical Director of the HVBV family since 2018. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family at home, including her cats Camila and Florinha and her dog Santiago.
Hélder Craveiro
Veterinary Doctor
Hélder Craveiro did an Integrated Master's degree in Veterinary Medicine from the University of Évora in 2013.He then did his curricular internship in Small Animal Clinic and Surgery at Onevet Porto Veterinary Hospital between the 3rd of September 2012 to the 30th of August 2013, under the guidance of Dr Nuno Miguel Baptista Proença. His areas of interest are small animal soft tissue surgery and exotic pet clinic and surgery.
Miguel França
Veterinary Doctor
Miguel França completed his Veterinary Medicine degree from Abel Salazar Institute of Biomedical Sciences, the University of Porto, in May 2011. He then did an advanced surgery course at the Autonomous University of Barcelona in November 2011. After this, he did a course on laparoscopic surgery at the Veterinary Medicine Centre for Advanced Experimental Surgery, which he finished in early 2013.He’s completed three Master’s degrees, the first he completed in September 2013, studying Biomedical Engineering at FEUP (Faculty of Engineering at the University of Porto).
The second was in Veterinary Medicine from ICBAS- Abel Salazar Institute Biomedical Sciences, the University of Porto, which he finished in 2016.
His third Master’s degree was in small animal tibial plateau levelling osteotomy, which he finished in 2018, having studied at AOVET.
On top of all this, he’s completed courses in small animal fracture treatment, orthopaedics and neurosurgery.
He aims to continue learning to gain the necessary skills to perform Total Hip Replacement surgeries.
When he is not working, he enjoys spending time with his family.
Mariana Gonçalves
Veterinary Doctor
Mariana Gonçalves did her Integrated Master's degree in Veterinary Medicine from the University of Trás-os-Montes e Alto Douro in 2013.She then did an internship at Onevet Baixo Vouga Veterinary Hospital and in the Clinical Veterinary Hospital of the Autonomous University of Barcelona.
Her areas of interest are abdominal ultrasound and internal medicine. She loves her dog Havana.
Diana Lima
Veterinary Doctor
Diana Lima completed an Integrated Master's degree in Veterinary Medicine from the University of Porto (Abel Salazar Institute of Biomedical Sciences) in 2011. She enjoys doing surgery and has a particular interest in soft tissue surgery and ophthalmology.She then did an internship at the Ars Clinical Veterinary Hospital at the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB). In 2017, she completed a postgraduate course in Veterinary Ophthalmology at UAB (CCOV) and is currently doing a Postgraduate Diploma in surgery and anaesthesia.
She enjoys travelling and talking to animals.
Samuel Anjos
Veterinary Doctor
Samuel Anjos has an integrated Master's Degree in Veterinary Medicine in 2021 from the Vasco da Gama University School, Coimbra.He was also an Improve International Ambassador in 2019-2020.
Concluded various internships throughout the course in the field of companion animals and exotic animals.
Main areas of interest: Internal Medicine for Companion Animals, Exotic Animals, Dentistry.
He likes new adventures, direct contact with nature and spending time with friends.
Rita Silveira
Veterinary Doctor
Integrated Master in Veterinary Medicine in 2018, from the University School of Vasco da Gama in Coimbra.Participated in the Advanced Training in Dermatology 2021.
His areas of interest are Internal Medicine for Companion Animals and imaging.
Daniela Costeira

Integrated Masters in Veterinary Medicine from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine- University of Lisbon, in 2018.She has a special interest in feline medicine, endocrinology and imaging.

Márcia Oliveira

Márcia Oliveira has a degree in Veterinary Nursing from the Viseu School of Agriculture in 2017. She has a Postgraduate degree in Small Animal Anaesthesia at Improve International.Since 2020, she’s been studying for a Master’s in Veterinary Nursing of Companion Animals at the School of Agriculture of Ponte de Lima.
She has been working as a Veterinary Nurse at the HVBV since 2017 (and has been acting as Head Nurse since April 2021).
Her area of interest is small animal surgery, anaesthesia, and exotic pet clinics.
In her free time, she likes to pamper her animals at home.
Soraia Duarte
Veterinary Nurse
Soraia Duarte finished her degree in 2017 from the Viseu School of Agriculture. She then joined the Baixo Vouga Veterinary Hospital team in the same year as a veterinary nurse.Since then, she has completed training in Internal Medicine and Emergency and Intensive Care. Her main interests surround animal welfare, admission and emergencies. Soraia always prioritises her family, always wanting to spend time with them, especially the younger members and her new dog, Mara.

Soraia Duarte attended the Professional Higher Technical Course in Veterinary Care at the School of Agriculture of the Polytechnic Institute of Viana do Castelo, finishing in 2017.She graduated in Veterinary Nursing at the same Institute in the year 2021.
Works as a Veterinary Nurse in OneVet Veterinary Hospital Baixo Vouga since 2022.
Her main areas of interest are animal welfare, emergencies and intensive care and feline and canine medicine.

Liliana Branco has been a veterinary assistant at the HVBV since 2008.She loves being around her animals.
Andreia Pinto
Veterinary Assistant
Andreia Pinto has dedicated herself to the area of reception and care for human and animal health since 1999.She worked for the Ministry of Health’s Shared Services and collaborated with several medical clinics and hospitals, working in the reception area, as a diagnostic assistant and in the clinic, furthering her knowledge through training and workshops.
Currently, she is working at Onevet Baixo Vouga Veterinary Hospital, having previously worked in the Onevet Porto Veterinary Hospital.
Andreia loves animals, has a good heart, and a good temperament. She loves to help any animal she comes across.
She devotes her free time to her family, animals and her hobbies.
Diana Santos
Veterinary Assistant
Diana Santos has a degree in Radiology from the School of Health at the University of Aveiro in 2014.She has a dog, Joli and has been a cleaner at HVBV since 2019.
Pedro Cruz
Veterinary Assistant
Pedro Cruz completed a Veterinary Assistant Course at School House Águeda in 2015.He then did an internship at Onevet Aveiro Veterinary Clinic in 2015, where he carried out veterinary, admission assistant, surgery and Pet Hotel roles. He then joined the Onevet Baixo Vouga Veterinary Hospital team, where he works as a veterinary assistant. In his spare time, he enjoys playing sport, spending time with his family and hanging out with his dog Izzy and cat Zu.
Rafaela Almeida

Finished her Veterinary Medicine Assistant course at Centro de Formação Talento, currently working as a receptionist and care assistant at HVBV since May 2022.Her areas of interest are internal medicine and animal health.
Graça Rodrigues

Graça Rodrigues has been an administrative assistant at the HVBV since 2010.She loves travelling and going to the beach.
Sara Silva
Veterinary Assistant
Sara Silva is currently finishing a veterinary nursing degree at the Viseu School of Agriculture, whilst also working as a receptionist and nurse at the HVBV.Her areas of interest are surgery, internal medicine and emergencies. She likes to spend her free time playing sports and walking on the beach with her dog Aurora.
