Luís Lobo

Veterinary Doctor Director

Luis Lobo has a degree in Veterinary Medicine from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of the Technical University of Lisbon in 1992. He then completed a Postgraduate degree in Internal Medicine from ESAVS (European School for Advanced Veterinary Studies). His thesis for his PhD in Veterinary Sciences from ICBAS, Porto, was focused on canine dilated cardiomyopathy.
He has been part of the clinical staff of the HVPO since 1992. He is the founder and director of the remote electrocardiography service – Telecárdio. He is also the founder and former President of the Portuguese Society of Veterinary Cardiology, an investigator at the CECA (Centre for Animal Science Studies) of the University of Porto and a Professor of Cardiology at the ULHT Faculty of Veterinary Medicine.
He spends his free time taking motorbike rides and reading a good book, whilst also spending time with his large family, of course.

Amândio Dourado

Veterinary Doctor

Master's degree in Veterinary Medicine at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Technical University of Lisbon.

Amândio Dourado has been working at Onevet Porto Veterinary Hospital since 2010. He enjoys all challenges related to performing Anaesthesia and Analgesia techniques on critically ill patients or patients undergoing surgery.

In his free time, he enjoys outdoor activities, wild bird watching, DIY, organic farming, and gardening on his days off.

Ana Reis

Veterinary Doctor

She is also doing her PhD in Veterinary Sciences in Veterinary Cardiology at the Abel Salazar Institute of Biomedical Sciences.
Ana Reis was born in Arouca, where she was involved with her grandparents’ farm animals since she was a child. Throughout her career, she has had rurality on her mind and has always had a sensitivity towards animals, culminating in a professional career dedicated to them.
She has done internships in different veterinary centres, such as the Molins Veterinary Hospital (Barcelona) and the Complutense Veterinary Clinical Hospital (Madrid).
Her areas of interest are cardiology, interventional radiology and internal medicine.

Nina Rodrigues

Veterinary Doctor

European Specialist in Internal Medicine (ECVIM-CA). Graduated in Veterinary Medicine at the University of Trás-os-Montes e Alto Douro (UTAD) in 2016.
She carried out several internships in different veterinary centers, with emphasis on the veterinary hospital Frégis (Paris) where she later completed a generalist internship.
In 2018 she completed a specialized internship in internal medicine and intensive care at the veterinary hospital of Montpellier.
He has published several articles in international journals and had the opportunity to lecture at several international congresses.
She started her work as Veterinary Internist in Portugal at OneVet in 2022.

Diana Ferreira

Veterinary Doctor Director

Diana obtained the title of European Specialist in Veterinary Dermatology in 2016. She completed her degree in Veterinary Medicine from the Technical University of Lisbon
In 2011, she joined the team of interns at the Veterinary Clinical Hospital Foundation of the Autonomous University of Barcelona (FHCV-UAB), where she subsequently started a 3-year residency programme in Veterinary Dermatology, accredited by the European College of Veterinary Dermatology (ECVD) in 2012.
She has published articles in several journals and has spoken at international conferences. Dr Diana divides her life between Porto and Lisbon. Besides the landscapes of the two cities, she also likes to discover other, more exotic ones.

Gonçalo Pettruci

Veterinary Doctor

PhD in Veterinary Sciences with a strong clinical component.
Gonçalo Petrucci has been part of the HVPO team since 2014, after completing his master’s degree at the ULHT faculty of veterinary medicine.
In 2016, he was a resident at the oncology department of Onevet Porto Veterinary Hospital, directed by Dr Joaquim Henriques. 
He’s the author of several national and international publications in the field of oncology.
 
At the moment, he runs the oncology department at Onevet Porto Veterinary Hospital and carries out referral consultations at the Berna Veterinary Hospital in Lisbon.
He is passionate about sports and enjoys spending his free time with family and friends.

Nuno Proença

Veterinary Doctor

He graduated from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of the Technical University of Lisbon in 1995.
Nuno Proença has been at Onevet Porto Veterinary Hospital since 2012. He started his professional career in the city of Porto in the clinical and surgical practice of companion animals, developing a particular interest in surgery, specifically orthopaedic and neurological. He has already added Computed Tomography to his list of interests here. In his free time, he enjoys the company of his family and Barnabé, his dwarf rabbit.

Odete Vaz

Veterinary Doctor

Odete Vaz completed her Degree in Veterinary Medicine from the University of Trás-os-Montes e Alto Douro in 1993.
Her curricular internship lasted six months at the Clínica Veterinária do Lima (now HVPO), later joining the hospital’s medical team in 1994. She then trained for four months in ARS Veterinary in Barcelona.
 
Her training includes ultrasound imaging, this being one of his main areas of interest. She is currently responsible for the hospital’s ultrasound.
She also has training in Ophthalmology and is one of the people in charge of this speciality at the HVPO.
 
In her spare time, she enjoys walking by the sea and reading. The family, including her cats and dog, are her rocks and complement her professional life.
She is lucky to be able to dedicate herself daily to her passion, which is animals.

Paulo Teixeira

Veterinary Doctor

Paulo Teixeira finished his Master's degree in Veterinary Medicine at the University of Trás-Os-Montes e Alto Douro.
He did his curricular internship in 2016 at Onevet Porto Veterinary Hospital and, since then, has been part of our clinical staff.
His main areas of interest are general surgery, dentistry, emergencies and intensive care. He has attended various training courses and has recently completed a postgraduate course in surgery at the Autonomous University of Barcelona.
Paulo is responsible for the dentistry area at our Hospital.
He is passionate about motorsports and national sports and has a particular interest in handball, a sport he used to play.
He enjoys spending his spare time with his family, riding his motorbike and being in the company of his cats, Odin and Logan.

Sara Lopes

Veterinary Doctor

Sara Lopes finished her Integrated Master's Degree in Veterinary Medicine in 2016 at Vasco da Gama University.
She’s been a member of the Onevet family since January 2017 and started working at Onevet University of Coimbra Veterinary Hospital until February 2021.
She then returned to the North and joined the Porto Veterinary Hospital team.
Her areas of interest are Internal Medicine and Feline Medicine, but she has been particularly enjoying the challenge of working in Exotic Pet Clinics. She complements this with training and attendance of congresses in the area.
When she’s not around these ‘different’ pets, she likes to spend time with family and friends and watching movies on the sofa with her kitten Carlota.

João Barros

Veterinary Doctor

Master's Degree in Veterinary Medicine at ICBAS - University of Porto in 2010.
Held curricular internship at Queen’s Veterinary School Hospital in Cambridge, England and at Hospital Veterinário Montenegro, in Porto. He completed an Internship at the Veterinary Hospital of the University of Trás-os-Montes and Alto Douro, lasting 1 year. Between 2011 and 2017, he joined the clinical staff of the Onevet Trás-os-Montes Veterinary Hospital, in Vila Real. Between 2017 and 2020, he joined the medical staff of Medivet Group in London and Watford, England and CVS Group in Birmingham, England.
He is currently part of the clinical staff of the Onevet Porto Veterinary Hospital.
His main areas of interest are Internal Medicine and Ophthalmology.

Helena Lima

Veterinary Nurse

Helena Lima is a Veterinary Nurse and trained at the Ponte de Lima School of Agriculture.
She carried out her end of course internship at Onevet Porto Veterinary Hospital, joining the Veterinary Nursing Team, at HVPO, in March 2018.
Her main areas of interest are admissions, emergencies and intensive care, neonatology and paediatrics. In her free time, she likes looking after her plants, taking photographs and watching the sunset. But, above all, she adores spending time with friends, the people she loves most.

Luís Santos

Veterinary Nurse

He finished his degree at the Viseu School of Agriculture in 2018.

Nurse Luís has been working at Onevet Porto Veterinary Hospital since 2018.

Luís’ areas of interest are internal medicine, imaging, surgery, emergencies and intensive care. He believes that any big dog should have someone willing to look after it any time of the day and any day of the year. Not letting the patients who pass through his hands go without an extra dose of pampering.
 
In his free time, the probability of finding Luis in a garden sunbathing or immersed in a book is relatively high.

Inês Rocha

Veterinary Assistant

Degree in Veterinary Nursing by the Polytechnic Institute of Viseu - School of Agriculture of Viseu in 2022.
Curricular internship at Onevet Porto Veterinary Hospital, in 2021, where she collaborates as a Veterinary Nurse since July 2022.
 
Her areas of interest are Internal Medicine, Emergency and Intensive Care and Neonatology.

Carla Azevedo joined the team at the HVPO in 1995, where she has worked as a receptionist, clinic assistant and supporter of hospitalisations.
She currently supports the financial department of the same institution. In her spare time, she enjoys cycling with her children, nature walks and watching basketball games.

Sandra Teixeira

Veterinary Assistant

Sandra Teixeira joined the team at the HVPO in 2003, where she works as a receptionist.
She attended various training courses for Receptionists, First Aid for Animals, and Geriatric Care in Animals given by the HVPO Continuous Training Centre.

Graciete Rodrigues

Veterinary Assistant

Graciete Rodrigues has been part of the team at the HVPO since 1992.
Where she works as a veterinary assistant, helps with admissions, and provides surgical and anaesthetic support. In her spare time, she likes to tend her vegetable garden, walk her dogs and cook.

Raquel Bandeira

Veterinary Assistant

Raquel Bandeira joined the Onevet team in 1999, where she worked as a receptionist, veterinary and admission assistant, and stock manager.
She has also worked as a receptionist, veterinary and admission assistant at the Onevet Ermesinde, Rio Tinto, Carvalha and Gondomar Veterinary Clinic. Raquel is currently working at Onevet Porto Veterinary Hospital.
She has attended modular courses for veterinary assistants and nurses under the guidance of Royal Canin.
Her area of interest is nutrition and behaviour.
She loves a nice walk in the mountains, hiking to take in what Mother Nature offers. She also loves socialising with friends and family, they have the best time together.

Mónica Alves

Veterinary Assistant

Mónica Alves finished her Veterinary Assistant course at the HVPO in 2015.
She joined the team in August 2016, working as a receptionist, admission, veterinary and emergency service assistant. Her role also involves purchasing and stock management, pet sitting and dog walking in the hotel area.
Her area of interest is animal behaviour, admission, emergencies and intensive care.
She loves to take care of and play with her little dogs at home in her spare time and loves long walks on the beach or in the mountains as she adores nature.

Odette Varum

Veterinary Assistant

Odette Varum joined the HVPO team in 2014, where she works as a receptionist, admission, veterinary and emergency service assistant.
She trained as a Veterinary Assistant at Onevet Porto Veterinary Hospital.
She has attended training courses on veterinary emergency procedures and feline behaviour.
In her spare time, she enjoys hiking, baking cakes and desserts, and spending time with her family.

Sandra Cardoso

Veterinary Assistant

Sandra Cardoso has been working at the HVPO since 1999.
She has worked as a veterinary and admission assistant and is responsible for purchasing and stock management. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, walking and making the most of family time.

Teófilo Maia

Veterinary Assistant

Teófilo Maia joined the HVPO team in September 2008. He has the 12th Grade of schooling, 4th Grade of Classical Guitar Conservatory, and has completed a Veterinary Assistant Technical Course at ISED, finishing on the 10 December 2007.
He has experience in Canine and Feline Hotel, Dog Walking and Pet City, and animal management and monitoring. He has an interest in the areas of Admission, Animal Behaviour and Canine and Feline Aesthetics. Teófilo likes to look after and care for animal health and welfare. On his days off, he likes to play the guitar, listen to music, play football and travel so he can get to know different places and cultures.

Ana Rodrigues joined the HVPO team in February 2021, where she works as a cleaning assistant.
She has worked in several companies throughout her life, but she has a family in this one. At the HVPO, she feels a very different perspective, which gives her an insight into the animal world that she has never felt before.
She is lucky to be part of this team that gives everything for the welfare of its animals.
